Veteran's Day 2017 | ELCO Mutual

Posted by Admin on April 25, 2018

This Veterans Day, we at ELCO wish to honor our military veterans and current service members. The sacrifices these men and women have given (some giving the ultimate sacrifice) have provided us the freedom we all too often take for granted.  On behalf of ELCO Mutual and our staff, we extend our most heartfelt thanks to all veterans and military service members.  The next time you see a veteran or military service man or woman, tell them thanks for their service to our country.  You’ll both smile as a result.

Volleyball has been a growing sport in the United States since its creation in 1895 by a YMCA physical education director named William G. Morgan. The sport not only spread within the states, but also worldwide with over 800 million players. Volleyball became an Olympic sport in 1964 and is now the second most popular sport to only soccer.   Why do I bring up the sport of volleyball you ask?   2017 has been a year of many firsts for ELCO.  From new product offerings for our clients, development of a new Marketing Department, to having our First Annual W.D.   Many have heard the expression, “Home is where the heart is”.  I’ve heard a version of that expression used in a few different ways these last few weeks.  Let me explain.  It was expressed by the President of ELCO, David Bruce, when he told me that he believed the accounting department is the heart of any company.  The other time was while interviewing the three ladies that make up our accounting department, and became the dominant theme for this interview.  Believe me when I say, I feel privileged to have been able to talk to this department for our latest ...
